Myrna Serrano Setty graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2005 and Duke University in 2001. Throughout her career, she has guided individuals and families through the legal process during the most difficult times in their lives, often after a job loss, the tragic loss of a loved one and crushing debt.
Myrna understands the burdens of the legal process can place on families during times of stress and grief, including the months-long court process, financial burden, emotional turmoil and conflict between family members. Trained as a financial coach, mediator, and advance medical directive facilitator, Myrna uses her legal and counseling skills to help clients love and protect their families through wills, trusts and estate planning.
In the traditional type of estate planning, there's a “one size fits all” approach in which a generic set of documents are pushed onto as many clients as possible. If you're the client, you leave the office feeling like a responsible adult, having checked estate planning off your to do list forever. You may never see that lawyer again.
